Managing Director
Gregory Travis is a writer, an executive in software development, a pilot, and the owner of a 1979 Cessna 172. Realizing at the age of 13 that computers had applications far beyond number crunching, he created Note, one of the earliest social media platforms, for the Control Data supercomputer. He has logged more than 2,000 hours of flying time, ranging from gliders to a Boeing 757 (as a full-motion simulator). His interests lie at the intersection of technology and social policy, and he has written extensively and given talks on the Boeing 737 MAX and the design of complex systems. His work been cited in or appeared in The New Yorker, Salon, The New Republic, IEEE Spectrum, EE Times, Al Jazeera (TV) and other media.
